Targets and limits on 50K

2-Step: 10% target in phase 1 and 5% in phase 2, a 5% ($2,500) daily loss and a 10% ($5,000) max loss, with at least 4 trading days per phase. 1-Step: 10% target, 3% ($1,500) daily loss and 10% max loss.

Drawdown

The 2-Step max loss is static: 10% below the starting balance, wherever your profits go. The 1-Step max loss trails your balance at the end of each day.

Consistency

None on the 2-Step. On the 1-Step, for orders from October 12, 2026, your best day may be at most 50% of total profit.

Rewards

The first reward can be requested from day 14, then on request. The 2-Step fee is refunded with the first reward.

Restricted

  • On standard funded accounts, no orders from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after major news.
  • Holding over market breaks longer than two hours on standard funded accounts.

News tradingRestricted: on Standard FTMO (funded) accounts, no order execution 2 minutes before or after selected high-impact news on affected instruments. Challenge/Verification phases and Swing accounts are exempt
Bots and EAsAllowed, within limits: platform caps of 200 open orders and 2,000 positions a day; more than 2,000 server requests a day is forbidden; third-party EAs risk breaching the max capital allocation rule
Copy tradingRestricted: third parties may not trade your account; identical trading across accounts (including from signal groups or copy services) can be suspended if it exceeds the $400,000 max capital allocation per trader/strategy
Overnight and weekendChallenge/Verification phases and Swing accounts: overnight and weekend allowed. Standard FTMO Account: positions must be closed before market breaks longer than 2 hours (e.g. weekends); overnight on weekdays is allowed
